The Talent and Performance Working Group is responsible for ensuring appropriate opportunities are available for talented athletes to access adequate coaching, mentoring and playing opportunities.

Main Responsibilities:

• Co-ordinate and deliver the Regional Excel Programme
• Link the Regional structures with the Superleague franchise
• To develop a consistent talented player pathway from County development set ups to Regional and National screening
• To provide quality coaching education within the Region for those talented players via Talent and Performance Centres (previously called Extension Centres) linked to the High Performance (HP) Netball Centre at Bath
• To provide coach education within the Counties for club coaches and school teachers via the Talent and Performance Centres
• To develop a Talented Young Coach Programme - to give education and opportunities to young coaches in the Region
• To develop a Scout education programme to aid in identifying talented players at grass routes level
• For each County to have a County Netball Centre where Satellite Academies run playing opportunities and coach education is provided
• For there to be designated Talent and Performance Centres where all the above occurs plus a Talent and Performance Centre (Extension Centre) runs for most, if not all talented players.
