The Media and Communications Working Group is responsible for raising the profile of Netball and promoting good understanding and appreciation of Netball South West (NSW) and its importance with members and stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities:
- To establish good working relationships with all partners to ensure they understand and appreciate all NSW offer's
- To establish mechanisms which allow regular two-way communication with identified audiences
- To support the on-going development of an identity for NSW as a whole and promoting the brand at special events across the South West and Nationally
- To maintain and develop the website to ensure that both external and internal members and stakeholders can easily find and access relevant information about NSW and it's activities as well as providing a mechanism for feedback to NSW Board Members
- Bringing our members up to the minute news on Netball sporting events locally, nationally and all around the world
Successes so far:
- Media - Netball coverage given prime time across the region on some of our local BBC Radio Statiosn covering Regional and local fixtures
- Volunteer Goalden Globe Awards - NSW was the first region to host Volunteer awards to such an elaborate scale that is now organised annually to thank and acknowledge the great work volunteers provide
- NSW Newsletters (NSW Quarterly Updates) - sent out electronically targeting up to 80% of our members on a quarterly basis
- Website - NSW website has evolved during the past 2 seasons and now contains a huge array of information for all to access
- Magazines - NSW profiles are regularly in England Netball magazine and TeamBath Superleague programmes
