The Education and Training (E&T) Working Group is responsible for promoting and facilitating good practice in all aspects of workforce development including the delivery of appropriate aspects of the England Netball Corporate Plan, to meet the needs of and develop the workforce within Netball South West (NSW).

Main Responsibilities

• To produce NSW E&T Development Plan aimed at achieving the aims of the overall purpose of the group
• To implement the delivery key aspects of the plan
• To manage the E&T budget
• To communicate the plan and its implementation to members and partners

Successes

To date the group has:

• Successfully rolled out the Talented Young Umpire Programme (TYUP) across the region.
• Established a new Talented Umpire Programme (TUP) to support older umpires.
• Co-ordinated Umpire, Coach and Volunteer training.
• Supported UKCC Tutors and Assessors through their training.
• Secured funding to support volunteers.
• Worked with County Associations to develop volunteers through the region.

England Netball released new umpire match protocols in August 2010, which are now available for download.
