The aim of this course is to introduce the rudiments of umpiring a Netball match at junior or inexperienced player level in a club or school environment.
Please note: England Netball affiliated and non affiliated personnel may attend these courses. However non affiliated personnel will not be covered by insurance.

Outcomes
- To have knowledge of the basic rules of the game
- To identify obvious infringements of the rules
- To apply correct use of voice, whistle and terminology
- To be aware of correct positioning
- To keep an accurate scorecard and call the score
- To identify the requirements for the England Netball Beginner Award
- Prepare candidates for practical and theoretical test
Responsibility of this courses organisation lies with the County Association.
