Umpiring Requirements for Regional League |

The requirements for Regional League (RL1 & RL2) umpires is set out within the Rules and Regulations, of which each participating team hold a copy.

Regional League 1
The CEWG will allocate umpires for RL1.
RL1 Umpires must
RL1 Teams must
- Provide the CEWG full details of the fixture venue and timings
- Notify the CEWG of any changes to fixture arrangements in good time so the allocated umpires can be informed
- Provide a competent scorer and ideally a timekeeper for each fixture
RL1 Scorers & Time Keepers
Scorers and timekeepers will be required for all fixtures. All four officials shall sit together in a location directed by the umpires which will constitute the Officials Bench. It is also the responsibility of the Officials bench to ensure the RL1 Score Card is fully completed after the fixture has been played i.e. player quarters indicated, signatures acquired, score recorded, etc.
Regional League 2
RL2 Umpires must
- Actively hold the Netball Europe B Award or above or at a minimum a C Award qualification. If you hold the C Award you must have been approved by the County Umpiring Secretary as being of sufficient standard to officiate in this league. Approval of lower qualified umpires must take place prior to them undertaking games and in consultation with the Competition and Events Working Group (CEWG)
- Act neutrally
- Be able to prove you are of a suitable level of fitness to ensure you can cope with the level of game you are going to umpire. Reaching the minimum level of 5.1 of the Multi Stage Fitness Test which must be documented and forwarded to Danny Neill prior to performing any RL2 officiating duties
- All RL1 umpires must perform a pre match check before each fixture, following the Umpire Pre Match Check List
RL2 Teams must
- Provide umpires with details of the fixtures and venues. Any changes must be notified in good time to the alloctaed umpires
- Cover their umpires travel expenses, etc., which should be in line with England Netball guidelines unless agreed with the umpire
- Provide a scorer and ideally a time keeper for each fixure
