The University of Gloucestershire NSW U16 Regional League provides a higher level of competition for the top U16 club sides in each of our counties. Clubs qualify through county qualifying competitions played prior to the start of the U16RL and are then placed in two leagues (North East and South West) comprising of teams from SW counties.

Applications for entry to the U16RL are open to any England Netball affiliated club. All players must be over 14 years of age but under 16 years of age at midnight on 31st August/1st September to participate in the U16RL (normal school years 10 & 11).

Following feedback from Counties and Clubs, the general consensus of opinion was that, in order to ease the strain on resources and in particular manpower, NSW should extend the U16RL playing season by starting the fixtures in November rather than in January. Therefore, RL fixtures for this season will be played between 6 Nov 2011 and 4 Mar 2012.

Each participating team (in partnership with their County Association) is responsible for providing a competent scorer and a qualified B Award Umpire or suitably approved C Award Umpire. Designated scorers must ensure they stand/sit together in a convenient place as decided by the umpires. The home team will provide the venue for the fixture.

Photography/Filming

Please note that to help promote and evaluate Netball South West (NSW) activities, there may be video filming and photography which may be used in publicity materials e.g. leaflets, newsletters or on official websites. NSW will ensure that images are not accompanied by names and or other details that could identify individual children or young people.

All clubs will be required to obtain permission for players to be filmed or photographed and will be required to sign a statement to confirm permission has been obtained from all player's parents or guardians.

Anyone wishing to engage in video, zoom or close range photography must register their details on the provided Photography Statement and register this document with the scorers' table.
