TEAMBATH PLAYERS HELP ENGLAND RETAIN TITLE

Seven TeamBath netballers saw action as England successfully defended their Europe Open Championships title. England fielded a young squad with an average age of just 19-years-old for
the championships in Belfast.

The team was coached by Lyn Gunson, director of netball at the University of Bath, and captained by Natalie Seaton, a member of the TeamBath side that currently tops the national Superleague.

England won all three of their contests, beating Northern Ireland 60-34, Wales 47-41, before rounding off their campaign with a 55-33 victory over Scotland.

All seven of the TeamBath players in the 12-strong England squad got court time during the competition. They are captain Natalie Seaton, as well as Sara Bayman, Eboni Beckford Chambers, Sasha Corbin, Gemma Fletcher, Stacey Francis and Monique Wood.
