Superleague Playoffs

After the thrills and excitement of last week's international tri-series, England squad members return to their Netball Superleague teams this week as the competition moves into the play off phase. And with two intriguing match ups in prospect this weekend, the tension and drama looks set to continue for spectators across the country.

TeamBath, unbeaten during the league season, will face second placed Mavericks in the major semi final this Saturday. Mavericks led TeamBath for most of the game when they met for the first time in December, but since then, the form of Bath's international stars Cookey, Dunn, Greenway, Bayman, Binns and Mentor has seen all of them impress against Australia and New Zealand. However, England and Mavericks' captain Amanda Newton will be hoping that her own set of stars, including Louisa Brownfield, Naomi
Siddall, Karen Atkinson, Gemma Wiseman and Jo Harten will be up to the challenge, and a thrilling game is in prospect. The game starts at 3.00pm and tickets are now available from events@teambath.com or by telephoning 01225 384267.

A place in the Grand Final awaits the winner of this game, while the loser must try again in the second round of play offs, on 02 June 07.
