Lawn NC's plight to defend World Corporate Games Champions

In June 2006, Lawn Netball Club, under the banner of RAF Lyneham took part in the UK Corporate Games held in Swindon. Despite there being some incredibly tough competition from teams from all over the country, Lawn came out the eventual winners. This earned the team automatic entry into the World Corporate Games that were held in Budapest in July 2006, where, after an incredibly hard fought tournament, they won the crown and came out World Corporate Games Champions.

This means that the team automatically received an invitation to this years event that is being held in Bilbao in July 2007 to defend their World title. The girls have received some fantastic sponsorship from companies such as Triumph, Pertemps and Corus and are heading out to Bilbao under the name Team Triumph. But before the girls stand a chance of becoming double world champions, they need to do everything they can to raise the funds to get to Bilbao.

The team have organised a fantastic auction and raffle night which will be held at the Apartments in Swindon on June 30th 2007 where they will be auctioning items such as 2 Champagne Triumph Hot Air Balloon tickets and raffling items such as dinner for 2 at the Apartments with free entry into the VIP room, cinema tickets and lots lots more. Tickets will be £2 per person.
