News on NSW Media and Communications

The Media and Communications Group headed up by Gilly Salter are a new team working together to achieve some key objectives for Netball South West and they are already underway with some exciting initiatives. Below Gilly gives us an insight into the work underway:

"The latest initiative of inviting clubs with CAPS accreditation to have a page on our site is already being well received with lots of you sending back your personal club details. If youíre with a club that have not yet responded, donít worry, just send this back as soon as possible to our Regional Office.

With technology moving at such a fast pace, we are nearly at the point of selecting our new Website Editor to keep us all ëin the knowí with the lastest and exciting news!

In order to keep netball in line with this, some of our strategic targets over the next few months will include launching our new logo and website details to as many partnership groups as possible. Our target market groups will include:-

• County Chairs, Clubs and Individuals
• Recipients from our National Database list
• Schools via SSCOís and/ or via Our County Sports Partnerships
• Media contacts such as Radio, Televsion, Regional Press to name but a few
• Audiences attending the Team Bath Roadshows during September
• Teams entering into the newly formed Regional & Sub Regional League
• National Schools Regional Rounds and the Finals
• Teambath Superleague Home Fixtures

As well as utilising e-technology we are planning to target our affiliated schools in the region with Netball posters. Mouse mats are currently being designed by Kathryn Crago/Adam Knight and these too will be sent to schools for their IT DepartmentsÖÖanother reminder about Netball South West and all that we can offer.

To support this drive we are also producing some exciting new Merchandise Products with the help of expert Steve Richmond. Steve from Wiltshire was instrumental in co-ordinating much of the Netball South West Merchandise last season and is continuing to support our cause. He is helping us to produce:

• A new Netball South West Banner with our very new logo design on
• A Pop Up Stand advertising just some of our Services

Items are being produced that you can buy at the many Regional events:-

• Backpacks - in a red wine colour with white logo or in a silver with red logo
• Netball South West Mugs
• Key Rings
• Pencils
• Polos/Hoodies
• Netball South West Branded Sports Wear
• Plus much more!
