What is NSW?

The Regional Netball Association Netball South West (NSW) is responsible for the management and development of the sport of Netball in the South West Region. The organisation’s core function is to identify and meet the needs of Netball players, coaches, umpires, and administrators and in doing so, enhance participation experiences and encourage the uptake of the sport. Netball South West is one of nine netball regions in England.

The membership of NSW comprises 10 netballing counties: Avon, Cornwall, East Devon, East Dorset, Gloucestershire, Jersey, Somerset, West Devon, West Dorset and Wiltshire.

Priorities

NSW through it’s planning process and listening to it’s counties has prioritised 3 key areas that it will focus in on to make an impact on Netball in the South West:
1) Schools – Better quality experience and greater access
2) Coaching – Better quality and more of it
3) Access – More people playing

Structure

Netball South West is managed by the Regional Management Board (RMB). The Directors of the board work to ensure netball is strategically best placed to take advantage of new government initiatives and work cohesively with it’s partners such as the Regional Sports Board and County Sports Partnerships. The work of the RMB is supported by a number of regional working groups. Each of these groups are led by a NSW Board Director.
