Attended by over 60 people and many members of the RMB, the Goalden Globes held at Taunton Vale Sports Centre was a great success.

It's time again for Netball South West and England Netball to say a massive thank you to our huge volunteer workforce.
Cheryl Danson, Chair of England Netball, commented; “The South West Goalden Globe Awards are such an important date in our calendar; we highly value our volunteer network. The Awards give the netballing community the opportunity to thank those selfless individuals who give up their time freely and without whom we would not be achieving such fantastic participation figures.”

Heather Crouch received a standing ovation at Netball South West's AGM and Goalden Globes last Sunday with many of the audience reduced to tears. It was however not a sad occasion but a celebration of the wonderful years that Heather has given to the South West Communities in her capacity as Chair, a role which she has recently stepped down from.

On 4th July 2010, Netball South West held its fifth annual Goalden Globe Awards for volunteers throughout the region. The standard of nominations was again very high and the judges had a difficult job choosing the winners.
The winners from the South West region will progress to the national Goalden Globe Awards, to be held on Saturday 18th September 2010 at Athena, Leicester.

On 21st June 2009, NSW held its 4th annual Goalden Globe Awards at the beautiful venue of Dillington House situated in the heart of Somerset. With 3 new categories introduced this year 10 awards were up for the taking. We were very excited to have received nominations for each category from all over the region. The judging panel was extremely impressed with the high standard of nominations that they received and although the choice was difficult chose 10 very worthy, respective category winners.

On 22nd June 2008, NSW held its annual Volunteer Awards. Nominations in each category were received from all over the region. The judging panel were extremely impressed with the high standard of nominations that they received. Asha Tett, TeamBath star and England U21 Silver Medal winner in the 2005 World Youth Championships presented the winners with their Awards.

On Saturday 3rd February Netball South West held their first Regional Goalden Globe Awards at Combe Grove Manor Hotel and Country Club, Bath. The venue was very picturesque nestling in 69 acres with views overlooking the breathtaking Limpley Stoke Valley. Attendees from all over the region arrived from 12 noon onwards for the reception, all 10 counties had representation at the event. VIP guests, England and Team Bath Athletes Tamsin Greenway, Rachel Dunn, Pamela Cookey and Geva Mentor were also in attendance to present the awards.
