It's time again for Netball South West and England Netball to say a massive thank you to our huge volunteer workforce. Cheryl Danson, Chair of England Netball, commented; “The South West Goalden Globe Awards are such an important date in our calendar; we highly value our volunteer network. The Awards give the netballing community the opportunity to thank those selfless individuals who give up their time freely and without whom we would not be achieving such fantastic participation figures.” The South West Goalden Globe Awards 2011 nominations are: The Heather Crouch Award (South West only)The Heather Crouch Award is presented to a person, group or organisation that has made a significant contribution to or had an impact on Netball in the South West in the last 12 months. The contribution needs to have been innovative and creative resulting in a noticeable difference having been made to Netball in the region. Nominations:
Coach AwardThe South West Coach Award is presented to a coach who has made an outstanding contribution to their club/organisation and progression of netball athletes. Nominations:
Grassroots Coach AwardThe South West Grassroots Coach Award is presented to a volunteer coach who has made an outstanding contribution to getting more people engaging, growing and staying in netball through high quality coaching. Nominations:
Mary Bulloch Administrator AwardThe South West Mary Bulloch Administrator Award is presented to a volunteer who has made an outstanding contribution to the development of netball at any level by way of administration. Nominations:
Muriel McNally AwardThe South West Muriel McNally Award is presented to a volunteer who has made an outstanding contribution to the development of netball at grassroots level for 10 years or more. Nominations:
Officials AwardThe South West Officials Award is presented to a volunteer who has made an outstanding contribution to officiating in netball. Nominations:
Outstanding Netball Club AwardThe South West Outstanding Netball Club Award is presented to a netball club which has made an outstanding contribution within their community. Nominations:
Rose AwardThe South West Rose Award is presented to a volunteer or organisation that has made a notable contribution to netball in any capacity which may encompass any aspect of the game and its administration. Nominations:
Young Netball Volunteer AwardThe South West Young Netball Volunteer Award is presented to a young person who has made an outstanding contribution to the development of netball through volunteering. Nominations:
The winners were announced at the South West Goalden Globe Awards 2011 held at Taunton Vale Sports Club (Somerset) on Sunday, 10th July 2011. South West winners will then be put forward for the National Award which will be announced at the England Netball Goalden Globe Awards 2011 being held on Saturday 17th September in Leicester. |
